David was a great competitive fencing friend. We had so much fun traveling to tournaments throughout Florida as members of the Central Florida Division representing the Knight Blades Fencing Club. He sense of humor and ready smile will be missed. Sincere sympathies to his family.

Rest in peace Dave. You'll be remembered as one of the most unforgettable characters I've ever know. We were roommates in USAF Crypto school and served together in Germany. I was best man at your wedding. I'll always remember your unbounded imagination, your tall tales, and your intellectual curiosity.

Rest In Peace, David. Steve and I sure enjoyed knowing you. Thanks for writing such wonderful books, thanks for being so good to Rotary, and thanks for making my namesake so evil in Retribution. You will be greatly missed. Im sorry we cant be at your service today. To Davids family, I send our deepest sympathies.
