Not sure what to say?

David, Having been some time now I wanted you to know we're still thinking about you. Generosity to a fault in kind hearted, loving, entertaining, laughter, professionally. You were great. Our love.

a year has passed, and although i was not a part of Dave's life the past many years, I hope he recalled with joy the fun we had in college at St Mary's and Creighton. I thought I would take this time and try and find out what happened to my old friend as I have heard/read some conflicting stories. Any help would help me, I miss him as you all do....

David,
How I regret never following up on my desire to reconnect with you after hearing from you many, many years ago. I always figured there would be time to find you again and I always put it off for another time. I even had old letters that you had written to me from college and even high school detailing your adventures, that I had always planned on giving back to you when we finally would meet again. I think I will look for those letters now and read them again and remember you...

Dear Virgil,
I am so sorry for the loss of your great love. The love and support of one another that you and Dr Haines shared serves as an inspiration to me in my marriage. If only there were words that could help ease your pain. I was shocked when I read of his passing and refused to believe it until I saw the picture. It had been years since I saw the two of you but I remember his smile, warmth, kindness, grace and most of all his love for you so clearly. You are in my thoughts and...

David, We will always have our days at St. Mary'sCollege. You made my life richer. I still use one of our conversations as a teaching tool in my composition classes. You see, you've touched more lives than you may have ever imagined. Thank you, David. I refuse to miss you. You still walk with me. See you in the by and by.

Dear Virgil, and family of David, So sorry to hear of your tremendous loss. I heard of Dave's passing @ the Creighton Dental Reunion weekend. How sad for all who know and love Dave. He was a good friend and guide through Creighton as I went to undergrad and dental school just 1 year behind him and we were friends since early in my freshman year. In 2000 we hung out in New Orleans during our board review course, after not seeing each other since Creighton. We talked at length about the...

Coco Puff,
It's been great sharing time with you on this planet....St. Mary's College is where we met, became friends and shared idea’s about values, goals and career dreams. Your tenacity, courage and kindness were inspirational to me. May God give strength to your loved ones to endure your loss. Give my regards to Lucy….she’ll show you’re the ropes. Peace Out, Jerry

Dave, look after us all like you did with your patients, 'cause I got hit once and almost a second time on my bike ride home while thinking about you after I found out about your passing. A great time spent with you and all our friends at Saint Mary's and Creighton. Some of my best road trips (Grateful DEAD Midwest Summer Tour 84; California to Nebraska), greezes at our parents' houses, and the list goes on.

We will toast to your spirit the rest of our lives...

Dear David, I was so sorry to learn you have gone on; I will never forget our great spring break trip in 1984, all the good times and laughter we shared. Be at peace now...Lisa
