Not sure what to say?

Dearest David,

We miss you so much.

I hope you had a front row seat on the 50 yard line in heaven to watch your nephews play football this past season.

The season ended last Friday night with a playoff loss but your nephews had a spectacular season.

You would have gotten extreme pleasure watching Billy and Tommy play together for the first time in their lives.

It seemed as if most of time they played together Tommy would score. It was a...

DAVID, I, AM, BETTER LATE THEN NEVER. ITS THE HALLAL FACTOR I GUESS, BUT THIS IS THE FIRST DAY I SEEN THIS AND COULDN'T LEAVE IT WITHOUT A FEW WORDS TO YOU. IF GOD PUTS A FEATHER IN YOUR WINGS FOR EVERY SMILE OR LAUGH OR WARM FEELING AND MOST OF ALL GUIDANCE YOU GAVE TO OTHERS IN YOUR LIFE YOU MUST BE AN ALL-STAR ANGEL. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE ABOVE YOU GAVE TO ME. LOVE, CORKY

Well, brother, we have had number three, Thomas Robert. He misses you and he did not even get a chance to revel in your presence, except from the womb. As always you made quite an impression.Kat and I,Theo and David miss you terribly.I am sure there are plenty others in the same boat, especially our parents. If you get a minute send a little comfort our way. Let us know everything is ok where you are.I love you my brother

Uncle David entertaining his nephews

I first met David when he was best man at this brother Tom's wedding in Vail. I was the priest celebrating the wedding. David was the MC both at the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception and he held the crowd enthralled with his humor and sincerity. He radiated charisma and mirth and made everyone feel as if he'd know them all his life. I then met him at the baptism of his new nephew in Ohio, and that evening went out to a horror movie with his lady friend. We sat there wondering...

It was 1972 and I could hardly forgive my mother for dropping me off at the rapid transit station to head downtown. I would meet my cousin David Morad and away we went to St. Elias for meetings with St. George, St. Maron's and St. Elias young adult clubs to plan a Maharajan. After our meetings, we would head over to a pizza shop where I have vivid memories of David laughing, joking and just cracking us up making the RTA ride worth it. He and Jeannie were the St. Elias Youth Group counselors....

It is said that nothing that is loved is ever lost and no one who met David could forget how much he loved and was loved. May the memories of David's beautiful spirit linger in the hearts of all whose lives he touched and sustain his family and friends through this difficult time.

To my Dearest friends, The Hallal Family,
Although I have not had as much interaction with David over the past 30 years, my 1st 20 years were filled with the Hallal Family with David being an unbelievably powerful force in all that we did.
If we danced he was kicking higher and harder than all of us, even as a young girl of 9, my daughter Georgia who met David only once at Kat and Toms wedding, reminded me with a simple jester of spinning a hanky of the joy she had in catching...

Dear Hallals,it is still very difficult to believe that David is gone. Although I came to this wonderful family and tribe late in life, the Hallals made a strong impression upon me from the first meeting. Because I came to know Tommy first and then Billy, I assumed that they were the boys with the big personalities. Imagine my surprise when David arrived in Vail for Kathleen and Tom's wedding! David's exuberance and charisma were amazing to say the least. The love and humor that infected the...
