I will try this again. Sorry if this is a repeat. Dave and I were friends since before kindergarten. We spent a lot of time together as kids. I never heard him once talk bad about anybody, but I also known him to be quite opinionated and was not afraid to speak up. He made me smile last summer, when he found out that I was continuing my nursing education. He told me that I was born a nurse. Such a gentle person with a heart to match. I will miss him.

I am very sorry for your loss and will always remember Dave, a gentle, generous giant with so many friends. (I don't know if you might remember me, Elaine...I think I was a freshman in high school when you were a senior...were you in Margaret Fasbender's Spanish class?) Dave blessed every one he met and he always remembered old friends.
