David A. Hathaway, of Fall River, formerly of Fairhaven, died Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Brighton, MA.
He was the husband of Diane D. Letourneau, and the former husband of the late Joan (Bettencourt) Hathaway.
Born in Fairhaven, MA., the son of the late Adiel F. and Ellen (Whittaker) Hathaway, he resided in Fairhaven and Fall River for many years.
He was employed as a mechanical designer and checker for Raytheon, Portsmouth for over 25 years, retiring in 1990.
Mr. Hathaway served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Elks, Post 118, Fall River, the V.F.W. Post 2892, Fairhaven and the American Legion, Post 166, Fairhaven.
He enjoyed boating.
Besides his wife Diane, he is survived by
a daughter, Kelly A. Bosworth of New Bedford, MA.;
a sister, Margaret Benware of Fairhaven, MA;
a brother, John Hathaway of Maryland;
2 grandchildren, Barbara and Christina Bosworth,both of New Bedford and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Adiel "Bud" Hathaway Jr., Henry Hathaway, Robert Hathaway, Norman Hathaway, Eleanor Brunelli, Adleita Medbury,
Ruth Bollea, and Barbara Sterling.
