Not sure what to say?

Yes, I can never forget Dave. We shared many mineral development ideas as both being mineral economist. Most ideas were "crazy" but it was a lot of fun. We never understood why our federal government didn't hire us and a few others to solve our mineral procurement (imports) needs but that thought was after a beer at least with me. 11 years but my memories will always remain vivid since working with Dave early 1980's until his death. See you soon Dave. love, mitch

I often think of Dave. We worked together a few years and always traded brainstorms over the longterm. Dave was adept at brainstorming and also being critical so it was always fun to think up new ways of doing things with him. One of the strangest days was when I landed in Portland 1 day and on that day, Dave called me, by chance?? I asked him where he was which was 3 miles ahead of me on route 26 going west. Weird, so we met at one of his clients and went to lunch. Great time. I...

Hi,
Seeing Dave's picture brings back many fond memories as clear now as when they happened. Reading some of the other messages mentioning gold panning or gem hunting makes me realize again how the word indefatigable applies to Dave. I can feel him grousing at me for not calling enough over the years. If I want to feel younger, I'd always get near Dave and he'd have several ideas to flesh out. When in Denver and going to Barb and Dave's favorite Mexican restaurant off 6th avenue was...

Pritchard, ID CSM Alumni event

Barb, I remember so many CSM Alumni meetings I attended with Dave in conjunction with the Northwest Mining Association annual event in Spokane. Our alumni wine tasting event, our gold panning adventure near Pritchard, Idaho, and our porch picnic/bbq at Will Pittman's home near Athol bring back fond memories. I'm sorry we did not go on the gem finding adventure near St. Maries that Dave suggested for an alumni event. We will miss the big guy.

Very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I worked with Dave at the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council where he was a tireless and valuable volunteer. He was a kind, patient and generous man.

Barb and Family,

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dave. He was such a good friend and always made me laugh. He often had me looking at the brighter side of things, when I was having a down day. I enjoyed seeing him (often), as he used to be one of the very active members of the INWC Roadkill Recovery Committee and with the Upland Bird Committee while I was the Executive Secretary at the INWC. My prayers go out to all of you during this most difficult time.

Barb...I'm so sorry to hear that you have lost your best friend. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Always! Cass

Dear Barb and family, Our condolences. It was still like yesterday working with Dave in Billings, MT 1982. I never forgave him for the great time he forced me to have when he took me gold panning in the mountains with Jim Lewis. Whenever I think of Spokane, it's only as the Hebb home. I'm lucky to have known and been around Dave which always generated 6 new ideas every minute. Hard to keep up with him. Love, Mitch & Kathy Albert
