Our most sincere sympathy for the loss of your husband and father. I went to OSHS with David and always respected him as an outstanding individual. He was warm, compassionate and funny. Dear Liz, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved husband. The last time I saw you was in the emergency room of Middlesex Hospital, when my father was being admitted. You greeted me warmly and spoke immediately of your husbands bravery in rescuing a drowning woman not long before. Your pride and love was palpable. Your grief and that of your sons must be overwhelming. I am so sorry for the loss of such a great man, who did so much good for others. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult and painful time.

My name is Amelia Rogers, I'm a friend of David's brother Erik-I met him on the 9 Town Transit bus a few years ago. I am very sorry for the loss of David Sr.-my thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children, and his entire family through this very difficult and sad time! David will be remembered by many, many people. I did not know him personally-Erik told me many wonderful stories about his older brother and Erik was always smiling and saying how much he loves his brother David!! My heartfelt sympathy and my deepest condolences go to Mr. Heiney's entire family!! Please know that I am thinking of you all throughout this sad and difficult time..

David was always the voice of calm in the chaos of a fire or motor vehicle accident - he was truly a leader, a teacher, a mentor, and a good friend. Whenever he spoke, he was worth listening to - I will miss his voice. Our prayers are with Liz and the boys. Don and Linda Lucas and family
