Mr. David Bryan Hicks, of Westport, Kentucky, born on February 6, 1953 in LaGrange, Kentucky, to Ruth Smith Hicks and the late Wilmer G Hicks, passed away at age 65 on August 30, 2018 in Louisville, Kentucky. David was the loving husband of Lisa Golay. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Thomas Hicks. David is survived by his sons, Bryan James Hicks, William Scott Hicks, and Kevin Thomas Hicks; brother, Douglas Hicks; sister, Dorothy Hicks Sevcik; and grandchildren, Abigail Grace Hicks, Caroline Ruth Hicks, Ethan Alexander Campbell, William Richard Hicks, and Elizabeth Gale Hicks. Those who wish may donate in Davids name to The V Foundation. Friends and family can pay their respects at the memorial service, officiated by Brother Rick Lucas, on Saturday, September 15 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Westport Baptist Church, 6415 Washington Street, Westport.
David will be missed. We worked together and were friends for over 30 years and he always amazed me with his total recall of important information that literally went back to our early professional relationship. He had a keen interest in history and I enjoyed this side of David too.
