HILER, DAVID- Of Burton, age 56, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025. 


Cremation has taken place, and a memorial will be held at a later date. 


David was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 27, 1969, the son of Thomas and Harriet (Forist) Hiler.


David grew up in Grand Rapids Michigan and graduated from Creston High School and went to Michigan Tech University and received a degree in Civil Engineering and was a Licensed Professional Civil Engineer at Fleis and Vandenbrink for more than 30 years.  


He was a big Lions Fan. He also enjoyed Golf with his best friend Geric Rose and loved spending time with his beloved dog Max. 


He is survived by his ex-wife Susan Brantley-Hiler; stepson Bryan Colby wife Danielle, granddaughter Cadence and grandson Hoyt;


Sister, LeeAnn M. Holland husband Ken, sons Alexander, Andrew and Ashton;


Brother Jeffrey T. Hiler and stepson Jacob Hurlburt;


Brother, Mark J. Hiler wife Rachelle and sons Cody, Christian (Hailey) and daughter, Charleigh, stepson Jordan and stepdaughter Mekenzie;


Brother Nicholas J. Hiler wife Jennifer and daughters Gwenivere, Cordelia.


He was proceeded in death by his mother Harriet.
