Dear John, We love you and David and feel so sorry that we won't see him again, with his smiling, engaging self at our table and all his jokes and good stories. I'm sending along to you a little book, "Anam Cara" with a friend who can attend the memorial. I hope it will bring you some comfort. We are so sorry we can't be there..

Dear John:
Ed and I wanted to say how very sorry and sad we are to hear about the loss of David. David was a very special person - we dined at Rooneys frequently and he always made sure to visit with us at the table-we had many good chats over the last few years. I think of him with a tear and a smile - (he always made sure to bring the 'grey poupon'to the table when we had our Rib eye's :) We will miss him terribly....
Sincerely,
Ed and Shana Rohde-Lynch

John,

I do hope this message finds you well.

I know that it has been years and I haven't been in touch. But I just read about David.

I am so sorry for your loss.

David had a major impact on me when I was younger. He taught me many valuable lessons about life which I still have with me and use daily.

I am very sad to hear this news, and I only wish I had made contact sooner.

I have only the best memories of working with you and David at Rooney's. ...

Dear John,
We'll always have fond memories of dining at your restaurant over the last 10 years. Our deepest sympathy.
