Read MoreDavid and I were residents together for a year at the old Princess Margaret and Wellesley Hospitals in Toronto. My wife (Mary Tweeddale) was in David's medical school year (7T8). We were shocked to hear of his death, especially at such a young age. Our heart-felt condolences to his family and friends.

Dr. David Hinton was a wonderful mentor and genuine human being. I will miss his grace and generosity. I am sadden by the news as he played an important part in many people's professional and personal lives, including mine. But his legacy will continue and his impact will be felt.
