Not sure what to say?

My condolences. Mr. Hoadley was a great umpire and a great track coach!

Dave was a great mentor to me on the Gunnery Board and I am sad to learn of his passing. RIP!

What a lovely photo and tribute to such an accomplished gentleman. The parents of our childhood friends have a profound influence on us as we are growing up. "Mr. Hoadley" always joked with us girls. He had a wry sense of humor. He made us think. He was a self-effacing athlete. Always focused on self-improvement but didn´t lord it over his daughters. A great coach to us all whether we were swimmers or playing baseball. I didn´t know him in his 70´s and 80´s. I only remember him as...

So much admiration and respect for that man. Always so kind to myself and my family. Only complaint was that he did call a very tight strike zone! God bless you all.

Everyone loved the Hoads. He certainly lived life to its fullest. He was such a large part of the Mendham Golf Club and left his indelible mark there as the most beloved and colorful character to ever traverse its fairways. So many cherished memories and I feel very fortunate to have known him. My condolences to Dave's family.

A kinder man I don´t recall ever knowing. I had the privilege to sing with David in Harmonium for many years, and he was always a gentleman, always warm, friendly, helpful, generous, and a pleasure to know, he will be missed.

Kate forwarded this to me, as I had not known Dave recently died. The Hoadley family rises to the surface frequently when it is Brookside's turn to circle memories of good years through my mind. You had/have a good family and I'm sure all Lacy's will agree that we are better for having been neighbors and friends of Dave and Penny and the girls. love to you all, Sally
