I was very sad to learn of Dave's death! I had within the past two weeks learned that he was very ill. I immediately sent him a note asking for an opportunity to visit him in Cleveland. To my astonishment I shortly received notice of Dave's death. I considered Dave my first mentor and a corporate leader who I could aspire to be like someday. I thoroughly enjoyed admiring Dave and participating in many meetings led by him. He took time after meetings to explain to me what he was trying to...

Hoag Family,
I was very sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Hoag. I remember all of the fun summer vacations in Rehoboth Beach with your family...Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dave was a great friend and leader who will be missed by many. To his family, our sincerest condolences. To all his friends, we have lost a great inspiration and leader. I will always remember his warm smile and willing heart. He was a rare human being.
