Not sure what to say?

Beth and Sam - I am so sorry to hear of this grievous loss. My heart goes out to you both. I was Peggy's roommate in her last year at UF and have missed her friendship greatly since her passing. She was very proud of you all. God be with you.

Words truly cannot express my sympathies to David and Tom's family. I didn't know Dave well, but I looked forward to his visits to Crawfordville. I can tell all of you that all he ever talked about were his boys. We could spend an hour or more comparing notes on our grown kids! Seemed like nothing meant more to him than his time with them...not even his sail boat! :) From my heart I extend my deepest sympathy to all of you on the loss of this wonderful man and his son. My heart aches...

Beth and Sam, I was so very sad to hear of David and Tom's passing. Dave was married to my sister Eileen, who we lost some time ago.

Dear Beth and Sam, we just learned of this terrible tragedy and we are deeply saddened by the news. Dave was a great person and I am sure Tom was as well. We will keep you all in our prayers. Tim and Belinda Scarbrough

Beth and Sam, David and his father Ralph were both great Chi Phi brothers. True gentlemen. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I worked for Dave for two years in Bangkok starting in 1996. He was a great person to work for - he was fun, had a huge heart and showed an amazing ability to reach across cultural divides with his many international friends and colleagues. My heart goes out to Beth (a fellow temperate Minnesotan trying to thrive in the tropics of Thailand) and Sam, as well as other friends and family he and Tom left behind.

I was Dave's Big Sis at Chi Phi, as well as Eileen's room mate. I am saddened by the tragedy. He was a good man with a big heart. Kathy Ford Slatyon

Dear Beth and Sam, I was heartbroken to hear of David and Tom's death. One of my all time fondest memories was of our brief visit in Coconut Grove years ago when I was at a meeting in Miami. I remember that I had gotton your phone number from my mother via Sue Hollister. I delayed calling him, thinking I would be a bother or that he might feel obligated to come by our hotel. To my very pleasant surprise he seemed overjoyed to hear from another Hollister. As he said "there's just not enough...

I was a friend of David's in Jr. High and High School in Winter Haven, FL. Even then he always had a huge smile, laugh and friendly manner. He was a friend to many. I pray his family and friends will not grieve too long and hold dear the special memories that are shared as they will help in the darkest of times.
