He nailed it. In a life of twists and turns, David found the girl of his dreams, mastered more than one profession, loved friends and family, thought deeply, contributed civically, and stared down ALS. Not sure what to say?

Yesterday was a terrible day. Went online to do a long overdue check in with Ellen to learn she had passed, now David. My twin, Elayne, worked at least one college summer for the wonderful Hollister family helping with the kids and I was blessed to meet and adore them as well. David was just a toddler then and completely won Elayne´s heart. We´ve kept in touch not nearly often enough through the years. Elayne, like Ellen and David, died far too young, in 2003. Single Memorial Tree

I lost my brother Joel to ALS in 2023. He, too, accepted his fate and was admired for his attitude and courage while suffering from this disease. My condolences to his wife, family and friends. Keep up the effort to pass MCAID in OHIO. Marcel

A lifelong friend. I moved away and he stayed in touch - good touch, always heartfelt and caring. We crossed paths many times in Montana and Sun Valley Idaho. Nothing better than friendships that span decades, and Dave was wonderful the entire way through. The bravest strongest person I have met to take on what he did with such strength and wisdom. An example for how to live.

A terrific young man who although injured in college and unable to participate in sports was a tremendous Amherst Student who took advantage of everything the school had to offer him!

I will miss David as a friend and coworker. And his support of Lights out CLE.

Thanks for the returned calls sharing insights and the opening to tell part of your ALS story. Impressed by all you did the past few years. on many levels, heartened as well. Sorry for your loss Dana and David´s legion of friends.

I never knew David, only heard about him through my son who also worked in commercial real estate. Through their business relationship it became known that both David and myself were convicted Eagles and Don Henley fans. I started communicating with the rest of the people who were on David's mailing list and kept up to date with his recordings. I'm listening to some of those today honoring David. The last song I just played was Leather and Lace. I had to listen hard to make sure it wasn't...
