Not sure what to say?

My heart sank when I read about Dave Holt's death. He was far too young, with so much more kindness to share. Dave set a good example for me, as I'm sure he did for others. He always greeted you with a smile and, with his love of life, he was a man who left you better than he found you. I can't think of a greater legacy.

I have the best memories of Uncle Dave and all of the fun times we had at family parties and vacations, especially at Lake George and the Jersey Shore. I think it was my first trip to the beach when I was about four years old where I decided it was my duty to save Uncle Dave from the waves anytime he went close to the water. I met Dave back in his collage days when he was still courting Trish. I can only remember good times and there were many, and so many situations that would became family lore. An oven that was too small for a turkey, bike races, Dead concerts, men in feathers and a face full of water to just scratch the surface of a deep pool of shared experiences. His wit was amazingly quick and sharp and often pointed in my direction, there were times I´d laugh so hard I´d think I´d pass out. We teased each...
