David Holtz Obituary

David Alan Holtz, FAIA, age 94, born to Max and Essie Holtz in Brooklyn, New York on January 19, 1930, passed away on February 20, 2024. He died peacefully with his wife beside him at his home in Potomac, Maryland. David is survived by his beloved wife, Marian, sons Brad (Barbara), Ron (Marie), and Richard (Rebecca), daughters Cynthia (Christopher), Diane (Randy), and Juliet (William), and a loving legacy of 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren (with two great-grandchildren imminently on the way). A private burial for immediate family will be held on February 22. Shiva services will be at the Holtz residence on February 22 and 25 at 6 p.m., with services at 7 p.m. Arrangements by Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, LLC under Jewish Funeral Practices Agreement of Greater Washington Contract.

Unfortunately, we are heading out of town tomorrow morning, or we would definitely be at the Shiva tomorrow night. I played golf many times with David - not only was he a great golfer well into his 80´s and 90´s, but he was a very interesting person and I really enjoyed conversations with him.
