I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather. I never had the chance to meet him but I believe he must have been a strong man to endure the illness that he had. It breaks my heart, when I hear that someone else has passed away from ALS. I'm deeply saddened to hear of Dave's passing. I learned a few years ago about his ALS diagnosis and hope that his suffering is now over. I worked with Dave for several years at Hawthorn Services and found him to be a truly genuine, kind, compassionate and caring human being with a warm smile and a quick wit. He was the best geriatric psychiatrist and had such a wonderful way with elders. My favorite Dave quote is: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" I think Dave touched everyone he met. He...
