Not sure what to say?

Never, have I had a friend like David Hoover, a trusted friend of mine, for life. I admired his decisive passion for living, happiness, thoughtfulness for his family, friends and colleagues, along with his voice, "whatcha doin?", will be missed, greatly. Stephanie said it well, Dave was a "uniter of people", whatever the need.

My prayers and sympathies, especially to, Keli and Tracy, all his family and the many people, who knew him as a great friend in their life.

I only knew David a short time, but if anyone knew how to live, it was this man!
My sympathies to the family - I know what you went through with him and I applaud the way he was able to live and die with equal dignity and love.

Keith and I consider Hoover one of our closest friends. We traveled the country together on countless trips and always had a great time! We miss him terribly. We are fortunate to have known him and to have counted him as a friend. Once Hoover made a friend, you were a friend for life and you could always count on him! Our deepest sympathies to his family; our prayers are with you. We look forward to the day we all meet in Heaven!

Whenever someone needed an advocate for labor rights...David was always there. You are a true brother and will be missed on all fronts. Thank You for your friendship. My prayers and condolences to the family.

My deepest sympathy for the Hoover family. I knew David from Steward's (Union) training with the Department of Labor. My prayers are with you in your time of sorrow.

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of this fine man. David was a true American who stood for what he believed in by word and action. I will miss David as a colleague who shared the belief of standing up for those who cannot do for themselves. His leadership and service to his country will be greatly missed and I feel honored to have known him.
Semper fi David,

David was a valued union steward for the NCFLL local 2139. He always stood up for fellow workers in adversity. We're really going to miss him at steward's training. He liked controversy, an always hit it head on---
In Solidarity,
