Dave Horner was my first crush as a 14 year old whose grandparents were friends of David's parents. He was 20 and attending West Point, and I was fortunate to spend some time with him while he was on summer vacation in Clarksburg in the early 1950's. Dave was a wonderful person, and became the standard for me in the future when I evaluated other young men I met as I grew older.
