Not sure what to say?

We were so very sorry to learn of Dave's passing. He was a wonderful person and it was a privilege to work with him over the years at the bank. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dave will be greatly missed by all Lafayette Eagles Brothers and Sisters. May God bless him and his family.

Prayers to the Houston Family " Dave was such a good hearted person - I worked with him for many years at Lafayette Bank and Trust in the installment loan department at Market Square- Back in the old days of banking we had such a great group with Dave heading the department " He will be missed" God Bless you.

Marilyn, I am so sorry to hear of Mr Houston's passing. He was a wonderful man and great boss and teacher. I was a better employee working for Dave and a better person for having you both as friends. The community of Lafayette was a better place because of Dave's involvement. Prayers and blessings in this difficult time. Doug Long

Amy, I'm so sorry for your loss. I haven't known you for long but I know your grandpa meant a lot to you! Prayers for you and your family!

Marilyn and family,
I have no words to express how this affects all of you. You know I have known Dave since first grade. We have been married about the same length of time and I don't know what I would do in your place. Just know our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

I have known Dave since 1969 when I worked with him in the consumer loan dept at Lafayette Bank and Trust during my senior year in college. Then when I resided in Chicago and was self employed in the skip tracing profession, Dave referred bank business to my company. And then after I returned to Lafayette in 1988 I always looked forward to seeing him at the Eagles and on the golf course. Dave always went out of his way to say hello. I will truly miss him! My deepest condolences to his...

I grew up with Dave when he lived on Meharry Street on north side of Lafayette and we attended St Lawrence Grade School which was across the street from Dave's house. We played lots of baseball together from early grade school sandlot to Little League, Intermediate, American Legion and high school. I played left field and could have written letters when Dave was on the mound pitching! I thought Dave would make the major leagues. Dave was that good of a pitcher. Dave and I corresponded...

So sorry for your loss!
