David Alan Howard

I will always miss him. Until we meet again, David.

My favorite memory of Dave was when we sneaked away from the tour group and gawked at the Oak Room in NYC. This was after he led 35 teens to FAOSchwarz the long way--in the rain--just to show me some architecture. Dave was smart, witty, and fun.

I have just learned of David's death and I am truly devastated. He and I first met each other in Iowa when he was in 2nd and I was in 1st grade. We later reconnected when his family moved to VA, near mine. And then there was college together and later, fun times when we both lived in NC. I lost touch with David after his divorce and tried several times in several ways to reestablish contact, but without success. We just found out about David's passing, and send out deepest condolences, I often remember our trip with David to the Maine Adventure camp when he was still at ISU. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

David was a wonderful colleague and a marvelous human being. It was an honor to work with him at Community Solutions. I will miss his insights and his sense of humor.

David will be missed greatly.
Not only is he a great loss to his family and friends but also to society.
David was an example of what we all need to learn to be: kind, caring, fun loving, laughing, loving life.
