David A. Huffman, age 49, of Grafton, died Sunday afternoon, May 29, 2005, at his home following a long illness. He was born in Cleveland, OH and had been a resident of Grafton since 1987; having moved from Cleveland. Mr. Huffman worked the past 20 years as a awning maker for the Ohio Awning Company, Cleveland. He enjoyed fishing and playing his guitar. He played in the country music band "The JR and the Country Sound for many years. He also played for many benefit programs over the years. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Kathleen D. Huffman (nee Menzel); daughters, Tonya (James) Schwartz, of Lorain and Brittney Menzel, of Grafton; sons, David E. Huffman, of Grafton and Adam D. Huffman, of Lorain; two grandchildren, Samantha and Trenton Schwartz; sister Millie (Johnny) McMahon, of Newport, TN; brothers, Max Huffman, of Princeton, WV, Gregory Huffman, of West Plains, MO, Ronnie (Lydia) Huffman, of Cleveland and Michael (Pam) Huffman, of Abilene, TX; several nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max J. and Bernice L. (nee Meadwell) Huffman; brothers, Dennis and Timothy. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville; where prayers will be said at 9:30 AM on Thursday. The funeral service will follow at 10:00AM at the Episcopal Church of the Advent, 3760 Dover Center Road, Westlake. The Reverend Father Joseph Maiocco, pastor will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ireland Cancer, 41201 Schaden Road, Elyria, OH 44035; with special thanks to Kaaren Schwartz and New Life Hospice.
