Not sure what to say?

Dave and I met in Korea as fresh 2nd lieutenants out of ROTC.
Dave from the East Coast and I from the West Coast. We were assigned to different Companies of the 23rd Trans Battalion part of the Army's 1st Cav Division. I had the good fortune to spend my entire 2 year career in the Army with Dave becoming fast friends. Dave showed his innovation and ingenuity early in our relationship when he engineered an outhouse on stilts for his Troops due to the fact that in Korea you invariably...

Dear Dave, my memories of you are so full of your laughter, sincerity and the caring for those around you. I could not be there to share with your family the celebration of your life but did so in my heart. You will be so missed.

Love, Betty

Uncle Dave,
You inspired us to live each moment of our lives to the fullest. I will always remember the wonderful stories and great laughter you brought to every family gathering. Words cannot describe how much you meant to us and how much you will be missed.
Love, Amy

We were buddies in Korea for two years, and he was a dear friend and a person I could rely upon in any situation. We were very close and although we have not visited frequently, I have many memories of our special friendship. He will always have a special place in my heart!

Aside from being the best father anyone could ask for, you were the single most original man I ever met. We'll miss your humor, your love, your guidance, and your imagination. Thank you for everything.

I first met Dave 47 years ago under very austere conditions in Korea & was immediately impressed with his innovative energy & enthusiasm to improve conditions for our troops--always displayed a "can do" spirit that remained until his untimely death..Our condolences to Debra & the twins with the loss of a great guy.

I last saw Dave in his office during the past Christmas season. As usual, he was overwhelmingly positive, humorous, and hopeful. At this time, he shared many warm stories about his family which he so loved and was proud of.
Audrey and I will miss his humor.
Dave was a very special man who cannot be replaced.

Dear Dave-
Smooth sailing, fair winds, following seas and safe harbor ...Love, Bob and Denny
