Not sure what to say?

I was very sad to hear of Dave's passing. I learned to know him through working with him (mostly by phone)on the ARMMIS system that he used at the CT TASMG. He was always so very kind and appreciative of any help I gave him. May God bless his friends and family in this sad time.

David will be greatly missed. He was a man with many great gifts. I thank him for his service to us all and he will not be forgotten. Thoughts and prayers to David's family.

Maura,
I am so very sorry over this news. I first met Dave in 1991 and have been proud to call him friend ever since. Loyalyty and Intelligence are the two primary qualities I will always think of first with Dave.
One could never have a better friend.

Maura, Doug, Annette & family,
I just wanted to say how sorry I am about Dave's passing. I worked with Dave at C280th Sig Bn from 1987 to 1993 when he left. He was a great person to work with and be friends with. I remember all the baked goods he would make during the holidays and looked forward to taking them home to my family. Please know, that he will be missed by all. God Bless.

Many times the comments in the day paper are better than the paper itself. I enjoyed reading David's comments, like so many others have said, and found his common sense refreshing. I lean toward the side of liberty, and justice, as did David. I salute his service, and thank him for his openess, and thoughts. I am sorry for your loss. It is a big loss to the day paper also, as it simply will not be as good without David's comments.

I am very sorry for your loss. I only know David from his online commentary over the years. He and his commentary will be missed. I would also like to thank him for his military service.

Great working with Dave thru the military, he was always a gentleman and a dedicated Soldier, he will be missed

I was with Dave at both the 280th, and ctavcrad, and what impressed me was always his calm demeaner. Never flustered, never shouting,AND NEVER LESS THAN A GENTLEMAN.

To the Irons family, I only knew Mr. Irons through his remarks in The Day Paper. I never met him, but i loved his opinions and insight on various topics, so sorry for the loss of this outstanding individual he will be greatly missed................
