Not sure what to say?

I am a nurse at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and we all miss Dr. Jick very much. It is so heartbreaking and just not fair. Dr. Jick was one of the most kind, gentle, easy going and personable doctors I have had the pleasure to deal with. He was kind, easy to talk to and had a bedside manner that was to be admired. Your family is in my prayers always.

I first said "Hello" to Dr. Jick seven years ago, before my first of two colonoscopies from him. "You must be from New York.", he replied. How did he know that from one word? And who else could cause me to actually (kinda) look forward to my upcoming third procedure? So sad. I'll see you in April, Sharon, for my 6-month appointment. Take care.

Sorry to hear about Dr jick's untimely death. Learned about it when called in today to make appointment.

We will always be there for your children and you, Sharon. Reading these guest book entries, it is clear how many lives David touched for the better. He was truly special. Our love and prayers go out to both of your families.

I have had Crohns since age eleven. This can often be the source of painful/humiliating examinations and procedures.
Dr Jick educated and supported me through the shy awkward teen years. His candor and demeanor eased the discomfort of my visits. I had just resumed seeing him a couple of years ago (I am now 29) and he remembered everything about me after nearly decade. He truly cared about his patients' quality of life. I thank God for putting Dr Jick into my life to help me heal. I...

My wife Sylvia and I were saddened to learn of Dr. Jick's death. Dr. Jick diagnosed and stopped a bleeding ulcer when we were visiting St. Louis in 2005. We have always felt that he saved my life. Robert and Sylvia Hosler

Dear Sharon,
I received my letter from Dr. Goran today. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I saw your husband just recently in his office. He was so sincerely caring, gentle and kind, obviously a wonderful good-hearted person. He brought to my attention changes I needed to make in my life in such a compassionate way, and if he sees me now, he knows the positive changes I have made since and how much improved the quality of my life is. I will always think of him with gratitude....

I work at Dr Jick's answering service and it was a pleasure to work for him he was a great man , and all of us at Notify Md are very sorry for your loss
