Not sure what to say?

Dear Family, I was deeply sadened by the news of David's passing. I didn't find out until this morning. Some of my fondest memories of my teenage years were with David. The only time since High School that I saw David was in 1995 during a 'reunion of friends' at Jimbo's house in Bixby. It was just the greatest thing to see him again--we had great conversation joking and laughing! David attracted so many people with that wonderful smile of his...I will never forget him.

I will never forget the Banderos reunion and David's absolute determination to be there. His cousins fell in love with him (as did all of us), and he made that reunion so memorable with that cocky wit, and his white stetson hat & cigar. I first met David at Ora & Frank's 50th anniversary in K.C. and was so impressed with his artistic talents. David earned his final reward the hard way, and has shown us all what true courage is. Love to all of you . . . Donna McKinzie Voelker

The loss of a loved one is a heavy burden for anyone to carry. Please know that your friends have shoulders to cry on, and to help carry the burden if need be. Dana, I'm so sorry for what you and your family are going through. If you need anything, don't hesitate to let me know.

Dana, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in your time of grief. May your wonderful, precious memories of David bring each of you comfort. Always remember the good times; the love. I know this is a hard time of year on top of the loss. Though I was never blessed with meeting Daivd, I know that I am the one who missed out. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. I know there is nothing I can say to ease your pain, but know that you are in my thoughts, heart &...

I also share the sentiments expressed by Diana. A loss for everyone who knows and has met you.

We will miss you, but we will see you again someday. Love, Monica and Todd.

David, you were a true gift to the world. Your sense of humor, sensitivity, talent, grit and determination to keep on keeping on was an inspiration to everyone who knew you. I know you'll be in a better world, but you'll be so missed in this one.
