David and I had not been in touch for years. But I am his cousin and recall when the city cousins came to Auburn to spend good times with our upstate relatives. David was the family historian and left us with wonderful information about our family. Sympathies to his family.

I am so sorry for your loss! The RR AP department enjoyed working with David and he was a great all around person! I remember him talking about stepping in front of the car at Kroger and getting the mother and daughter out of the way so they wouldn't be hit, even though he would be! He was a blessing to many! Prayers to your family at this time of loss!
