Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of knowing Dr Kahn when I worked as a Medical Secretary for the Pathology Department at St.Mary's Hospital. I will always remember him as a very nice and caring human being. All my sympathy to his family.

Dr. Kahn holds a special place in my heart. His benevolent demeanour and wisdom impressed many of us who knew him. I will never forget how he helped me to prepare for the Royal College Exams when I first arrived in Montreal from Boston. Later, he showed me how to lead a small group when I joined the faculty and was assigned to his group to teach pathology to the medical students. He was indeed a mentor to me in many ways. I still remember vividly those learning sessions in the late afternoons...

In one way or another Dr Kahn was a mentor to many and I too owe him a lot ... including sending me to the JGH where I have been since! Most sincere condoleances to Dr Kahn's family.

I first got to know Dr.Kahn when I was a resident training in pathology at St. Mary's Hospital, in 1983. He was a wise pathologist, a caring human being and an exemplary teacher. My training at St. Mary's, under his guidance, left no doubt about where I wanted work- it had to be St. Mary's ! Fortunately I was able to join in 1986, followed by a wonderful 20 years in practice at St. Mary's - in great measure thanks to his legacy. I will remember Dr. Kahn with affection and am saddened by his...

I have very fond memories of Dr. Kahn's kindness. He was a wonderful friend to my father Dr. Robert More. Deepest sympathy to all.

Dr. David Kahn was my teacher and colleague. I had the great fortune of occupying the office next to his for the first 8 years of my practice. Dr. Kahn was a wonderful mentor both in medicine and in life. He was a highly-esteemed exceptional physician and a renowned teacher. For me, he was also a model of integrity, wisdom and compassion. His legacy lives on at St. Mary’s Hospital where he instilled the department he built with the sound principles and generosity that were his hallmark. ...

Dr.Kahn hired me at St.Mary's in 1962. He soon became my treasured friend and mentor.I spent the next 30 years working with this incredibly wise man. Dr.Kahn was the embodiment of the true meaning of the word "mentch", a man with exquisite human qualities of the highest order. I had the good fortune to know him.
Rest in peace my friend.
My sincere condolences to the Kahn family.

MANY FOND MEMORIES OF WONDERFUL TIMES TOGETHER.MY LOVE IS WITH YOU ALL

When I arrived at St Mary's in 1962, David Kahn was the only pathologist in the Montreal area on whom I could depend to read and interpret kidney biopsies, a new diagnostic test previously unavailable to the medical profession, and which I learned to do in Washington D.C.
His help, his knowledge, his wisdom were essential in helping many of my patients with kidney disease.
I will remember him fondly forever.
To his family, my deep and sincere condolenses.
