Dave, All the memories, hunting , fishing, with you and Eugene Masters, You always got the first deer, the biggest deer, The first trout, the most trout. So sad. And always telling me about what a brilliant man your dad was you were always so proud of him. You will live for ever in my hunting and fishing stories.

I remember the first time I met you living next door with Kurt. You were always so nice to me and my parents and always willing to help or joke around with my dad. Later on I had children and made my own family as well as Kurt did. You were then known as UNCLE Dave! You were still there for everyone of Kurts family parties for his kids. Tree Dave, this is how he was listed on my cell phone speed dial for so many years. In life you only have a few true friends, the ones you could call at any time of the day or night. Dave was one of the best friends I have ever had. We had long conversations, of his next great idea, we were planning a big elk hunting trip out west. A trip, I wish we took. We will miss you, Sharon, Cooper and I just cried all night. I know you are in a better place, my friend. The world won't be the same...

The Cotreau and Kastner boys grew up next door to each other. This truly is so sad and such a shock while bringing back so many memories of those years. Our deepest condolences to the Kastner family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace Dave!

When we heard the news we were in total shock, I can't believe we won't see your smiling face or hear your sarcastic comments anymore.
