Uncle Dave was an extremely talented technician with a large heart. The fact that so many of the younger firefighters called him Uncle Davey is the best indication that I can give you.

The National World War II Glider Pilots Association, Inc. is sorry to hear that F/O Kaufman has made his last flight and we offer condolences to his family.

Mr. Kaufman kindly served as an Area Commander and as a Wing Commander for our Association. He was one of our very early members and we appreciate his service to our country and to our Association.

It was an honor to know this man. He was a member of the Bavarian Festival Assoc. and joined our group to Kitchener,Canada Oktoberfest. We became
great friends and he has so many friends in our Assoc. He will sadly
missed by all the lives he touched.He
certainly touched mine.I know he is
sharing those happy times with my Husband Lester. RIP my Dear friend.

So sorry to hear about Pop. He was a wonderful man. My heart goes out to the family. His kindness and support of me and my children over the years was greatly appreciated. He will always be in our hearts.
