Not sure what to say?

I have very warm memories studying Classical Greek with Dr. Kelley. After a couple years of grammar, he pulled out his favorites: Herodotus, Thucydides, New Testament. But his real love was Homer. He knew many passages by heart and took so much pleasure reciting the Greek. He would almost sing Homer. His love and respect for the Classics was reflected in a singular dignity he possessed and exuded. I am forever grateful for the inspiration and love of culture he transmitted.

Joe, Karen and family I am sorry to hear about your father's passing he was a good neighbor and will be missed by all who knew him.

Dr. Kelly and I started at Montclair State the same year, he a professor and I a freshman. Over the next four years I had many classes with Dr. Kelly. The department was Dr. Bock, Miss Kibbe and Dr. Kelly. In the years that followed I saw him at many professional meetings and had the opportunity to work on a few committees and boards with him. He was truly a scholar and life long inspiration. The Classics Community was blessed to have him as a member.
Requiescat in pace, magister.

Dad, you are now and have always been my hero. You have taught me to be the man that I am today, and I will be eternally grateful to you for that. You didn’t have an easy life but your life was led with honor, integrity, and love. Thank you for being my father, and for all that you taught me. Rest well old man. I love you.
