Not sure what to say?

"Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade because a loved one's gone...Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, For as long as there is memory, they will live on in our heart."

Dave, you will be missed. May your soul find peace.

I had the wonderful pleasure to meet David through my daughter, Erica, while she was at Geneseo College with him. He continued to be a part of our lives after graduation and through visits and letters while in the Army. He was a wonderful, kind-hearted, caring young man, with numerous friends which cared so greatly for him as he did them. My prayers and thoughts will continue to be with you. You will surely be missed by all of us. Love, Mrs. "T"

David...You touched ours and many other lives that we can only hope you knew how much we all loved you..We could only hope for the days that you would come home. You would brighten everyones lives and keep Nicholas smiling for days. You definatley made an impact on so many and accomplished so much that only one can dream...your memory will live on in us for a lifetime and you will be truly missed. You were by far the best Uncle, Brother and Friend anyone could ask for..We Love You, Chris,...

David, it was our pleasure to have known you. We're sorry we didn't get to know you as well as a lot of other people knew you. Your friends and relatives will miss you a great deal.
We hope you are at peace now. You are a great individual.
Love, Ralph and Elaine Fazio

“Only time moves on to the next scene. Memory remains part of the heart forever.”

I remember the first day that I met Dave during my sophomore year at Geneseo. He was so warm, friendly and sincere that after an hour, I felt as if I had known him my whole life. Dave had such an amazing heart and would do anything for the people he loved. Loyalty and friendship meant everything to him, and I feel truly blessed to have had him in my life.

My heart goes out to all of...

The loss of Dave Kern has left me with an endless feeling of sadness. Dave and I became friends during our years at SUNY Geneseo. Dave always had the amazing ability to make others feel special and to let others know how important they were to him. This could come in many forms- his attentiveness, his words, his embrace, even just his smile. I feel blessed to be given the chance to experience his kindness, loyalty, and love. His was the purest form of friendship. The memories I have of Dave...

Rest in peace.

My words will not do any justice to the kind of person Dave was and what he meant to me.

Dave was the most loyal, true and caring friend I have ever had. He would have done anything for any of his friends and you couldn't help but feel it when you talked to him or were around him. He had a way of making you feel so special and would always go out of his way to let you know how he felt about you. I look up to Dave and only hope that I can grow to have even half of the special...

I had the honor and privelege to know David both personally and professionally. SGT Kern was a true soldier. He loved what he did and accomplished every mission with the greatest of ease. A proud Paratrooper, he brought a sense of urgency and care to everything he did, which was everything. He led by example and with a level of maturity that everyone who served with him, subordinates, peers and those senior to him could learn from. I truly lokked up to him and respected him. His potential was...
