When I was a young teenager, I babysat for the Kidders in their Lake Highlands home. Leslie was a toddler then. My dad, John Rice, was a court reporter who took depositions for Dave. He always spoke highly of Dave Kidder, both for his competence and integrity. Dave also mentored me in my scouting career on my way to Eagle Scout. I really looked up to him.
