We are still in shock to think that we have lost David. We discovered his gallery and auction when he moved to 26th Street - maybe 13 years ago? We were regular customers at the auctions in person, as much for the deals as for the entertainment value of David conducting the sale and the smart and amusing auction attendees. His stand-up background came out - for example, when he felt the audience was not paying enough attention or the bidding was not high enough, he would yell at us, "Wake up...

David was 'old school'. He was kind and took time for anyone lucky enough to cross his path. His was a dry, quick wit, that will be truly missed. Thoughts go out to his family and those who knew him.

David was a true friend. I live in the neighborhood and was a patron. On the weekends and on weekdays (when I caught him in shop) he would always proffer me a chair, engage in musings over the collection on hand and conversation about life in general. David was unique individual, a one-in-a-million spirit, forever irreplaceable and deeply missed.

David was a treasure! The kindest and most generous soul. I remember when I started off in Real Estate he took me out for lunch and gave me great ideas to build my business. He ended up becoming a loyal client for 10 years. He will be missed.

I am deeply sad to find out of his passing, he was my long time customer and can only say great things about him, my sincere condolences to all his family RIP David .
