Not sure what to say?

Had Dave as a teacher and 8th grade basketball coach was a great person!

12/06/11, just yesterday read in the K-College magazine that Dave had passed away. So sorry to read that. Last saw Dave when former wife Carol Jean was sick and staying in hospice in Grand Rapids. My sympathy to his boys, wife and extended family. Love, Judy (Miller) Steffen

Man, I’m so sorry I missed this. He was the greatest guy. So patient and loyal. I was able to have a fun Christmas time with him and my entire family when my boys played music for him, Christmas 2010. I’m so sorry to hear of this now. See what happens for not getting the press every day. I’m so sorry I missed the memorial. Hopefully I can contact Sally and giver her my live for and condolences for the loss of this wonderful man. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Hold your memories close.

Sister of Terry Malmquist - deceased (Class of 1975)

I am the daughter of Duane Laubach who graduated in Mr. Koeze's class (Wyoming Park). Dad was so sad to hear about Dave's passing yesterday when he told me about it. He said he remembers going to his house when he was young and, later, very much enjoying reminiscing with him at their class reunions. I know he will be greatly missed by my dad who also spent his career as a teacher. We send our condolences from Boyne City.

As a good friend and college roommate for a couple of years at Kalamazoo and since then a long distance friend I will miss Dave; as will his many friends and family. I would visit Dave whenever I was back in Michigan. The last time in 2009 just after he was diagnosed. My conndolences to Sally and his family. He was a great guy. I regret that I can't attend the service as I am out of the country; but I will be there in grieving spirit.

Dear Family Koeze,

Whenever I think of Dave / Koez / Dad Koeze it always brings on a smile and, on occasion, those thoughts have even been known to spark audible laughter!
There are many fond memories of fun times spent around Dave on Greenview, Wilson, Lakeshore or somewhere out West in the mountains that will forever be etched in my heart.
Experiences, to this day, that are greatly cherished; awesome adventures made possible because of Dave’s, energy, insight and the...

I had the opportunity to work with Dave from 1973 to 1976 at Wyoming Community Education. I enjoyed his wit and his guidance. He will be missed by our community.

As a C.N.A.(caregiver) with Heath Care Associates, I am honored to have helped with David's care. I have not seen more breathtaking photos than many of the ones David was proud to show me of his travels to our National Parks. I express my condolences to David's wife Sally and his many friends and family.
