I appreciated Dave so very much. We spent hours driving together to many speaking engagements I had when on furlough in the USA. Even when we got lost, he was still in good humour. When I asked him if it was upsetting to him being lost, he answered a firm "no". I assured him that I was also not uptight and so we just enjoyed going around in a few more circles before arriving at our destination. I believe these were all creations of Dave's. They were faux stained glass windows at Luther High School North in Chicago. When the school closed in 2017, we took them down because the building was going to be used as a public school. They are currently in my basement. We wanted to try and contact Mr Kohl, but had lost track of any address. They graced Luther's entrance way for almost 50 years. If anyone from the Kohl family would like these, please contact me. So sad! What a great man, teacher, mentor, chaperone. I´m sure he will be missed by many! I will always remember our Jr year trip to 9 countries in Europe as well as the canoe club trip to the boundary waters of MN/Canada! But certainly .......art was his passion and I was deeply inspired my him.

I knew David from our membership in the Ptld Calligraphy Society. David made me two small vessels to hold paint and water. I think of him each time I use these. A wonderful man.
