Not sure what to say?

As Dave's co-worker, bowling team member, sometimes chauffer and friend, I will miss Dave. Although he left NAVSSES 8 years ago, he remained a part of our HRO. Dave's long struggle with his siezures, tumors and cancer was difficult, but the way he lived was an inspiration to many people. He never complained and always was dedicated to his work and helping his coworkers. His strong faith and his love for God was evident in his life as well as the special bond he and his mother shared. Dave...

Mr. and Mrs. Kohr, My deepest sympathy to your family for your loss. I graduated with Dave. We recently had our 25th class reunion and I was unable to attend as my family left for vacation but Dave was on my mind as someone I would have liked to see again after 25 years. When we returned from vacation I was saddened to read in the papaer of his death. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you deal with this difficult time.

Aunt Ethel and Uncle skip

Today you both did the hardest thing of your life, you have laid to rest your only child. The only thing that sticks out in my mind about me and Tubby is the day we were to go to the Farm show together and I slept over and aunt Ethel you put curlers in my hair the night before and tbe next day you dressed us alike in bib overhauls and when we got to grand ma's house they were not going to take me and you said If I was not aloud to go niether was tubby. That...

My dear Ethel and Davey,

I am so sorry to hear about Tubby's homegoing. (To me he will always be Tubby/Tub). I was talking to my mother on the phone tonight, and she informed me. Oh, my goodness . . . I remember when he was born. He was the cutest baby, and you and Davey were so proud of him. I have such fond memories of him.

I am so sorry I can't be with you tonight for the service, but I think it was providential that I found out at the very time of the service. ...

dave,
I'm sorry to hear of your lose, you are in my thoughts.

Dear Ethel and Dave,
We were truly saddened to hear of your loss. Tub was a special young man. I know he will truly be missed, but remember he is with you all the time. Now he will watch over you! He is out of his pain and with god. You'll all be together again someday. You're in our prayers. Much love, Jeff, Pam, Matthew and Meghan Bechtel

I was saddened to hear about the passing of my good friend Dave. I will always remember when I first came to NAVSSES, I wasn't to familiar with the computer. Anytime I had a computer problem my co-workers would direct me to Dave Kohr. I was so amazed at how Dave would just go into the computer, tap a few keys and the problem was solved. Dave was always willing to help anyone who needed his help. He never acted like I was computer Illiterate, he just said, you'll get it. Guess what, I...

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I was a classmate and teammate of Dave's in high school. I always tried to practice my golf game with him because I was anxious to improve my game and Dave always helped me out. With his help I was able to go to the state championship in my senior year. He was a great guy to be around. He left us far too soon.

I knew Dave at NAVSSES. I am deeply saddened by his passing. My sympathies to Dave's family.
