Not sure what to say?

I worked for Judge Kopelman for 10 years at the Norfolk Probate and Family Court. He was an outstanding judge and had a great sense of humor.

DEAR SUSAN: THE DATE OF FEBRUARY 8TH WILL BE FOREVER ETCHED IN MY MIND AS THE DAY I LOST A VERY DEAR FRIEND FROM MY YOU FROM THE ARMY DAYS. I THINK ABOUT DAVID ALMOST EACH AND EVERY DAY AS SOMEONE WHO WAS AN INDELIBLE PART OF A TIME THAT ONCE WAS. TO SAY THAT I AM SORRY ABOUT YOUR LOSS IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. HENRY B WYNN

DEAR SUSAN: I WOULD HAVE TO RANSACK THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE TO TELL YOU HOW I FEEL ABOUT THE LOSS OF MY DEAR FRIEND WHO I MET BACK IN 1961 WHEN WE WERE IN THE ARMY TOGETHER. IT SEEMS THAT WAS ONLY A MOMENT AGO WHEN WE LAUGHED INCESSANTLY AT LIFE. SUFFICE TO SAY, I KNOW THAT HE IS GONE BUT I DON'T HAVE TO BELIEVE IT IF I DON'T WANT TO AND NEVER WILL HE WILL FOREVER BE IN MY THOUGHTS. MY SINCERE EXPRESSION OF SYMPATHY FOR YOUR LOSS. HENRY B. WYNN

To the Kopelman family, my sincere sympathies. I worked for Judge as a probation officer at Norfolk Probate foe several years during the 80s. He was totally approachable and often sought out my thoughts on cases I worked on. He had a wonderful sense of humor! He never let you feel that he was your superior. He was down to earth and often would drop by your desk during afternoon "down time". On a personal note, he provided me with invaluable advice. RIP Judge.

So very sorry to hear he has died. He was a wonderful and special judge and mentor. So many fond memories of him, his wonderful sense of humor, and kindness. May his memory be a blessing and sending strength to his family.
