After graduating Cupertino High School he attended college in Colorado.
Dave excelled in individual competitive sports; earning a green belt in Judo, winning County & State Wrestling Championships, and Professional Motocross races. He was a licensed plumber and ran his own company. Davy loved animals his entire life.
He is survived by his parents, Barbara and David Kopels, his brother, Rob Kopels, his girlfriend Yvette Barboza, and his 6 yr old daughter Kylie Kopels.
Visitation Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home. Funeral Service Wednesday, October 6, 2010 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park
Dave Baby my love almost a year has gone by without you and not one single minute has pasted where i have not thought about you or missed you. Today is your birthday and i am just thinking about you and everything we went through together and i just love you and i can't wait to see your face again p.s. kylie loves and misses you like crazy R.I.P

Dave, I just found you again in June and now you are gone. I am so glad we got back in touch. Lots of great memories in all the years we knew each other. You will always be "Cape-els" to me. RIP Dave. You are loved and will be forever missed.
