Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home - Moose Lake Obituary

David R. Kosloski, 74, Willow River, passed away Wednesday March 11, 2026.
David was born on April 7, 1951, to Thomas and Walterine (Mikrot) Kosloski in Moose Lake. David graduated from Willow River High School in 1969.
David married Yvonne (Herzog) June 9, 1973. In May 1981 Dave and Yvonne were blessed with a son, Anthony (Tony) Kosloski. Spending time with family was the most important part of Dave’s life. Becoming a father, grandfather and great grandfather brought Dave pure joy.
Dave worked for Soo Line Railroad for 10 years. When Soo Line was sold Dave took up employment for a short time in the Twin Cities. Dave’s love for the outdoors called him back to his hometown where he started Kosloski Logging, retiring in 2024.
Dave found enjoyment at a friend’s shop talking with his buddies and working on equipment. Dave made himself available any time of day or night if family or friends needed help. After retirement, to stay busy Dave picked up some mowing jobs. As Dave’s health declined, you could find him in his brown recliner watching NCIS with Mr. Wilson.
Dave is preceded in death by his Parents Thomas and Walterine, his brother Leonard and sister Dorothy (Kosloski) Timm.
Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years Yvonne, son Tony, grandchildren Alexis, Paige, Gavin and great granddaughter Raiya. He is survived by brothers Robert (Roberta) Kosloski of Aitkin, Jim (Bette) Kosloski of Willow, sisters Margie (Ted) Thrun of Sandstone MN, Arlene (Richard) Schmoller of Shoreview MN and Judy Hack of Sturgeon Lake MN

Not sure what to say?

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Dave is one of my younger cousins. Just chatted with him a short while ago at a family celebration. Who knew that it would be the last chat? RIP Cousin Dave.

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was such a good guy. My thoughts are with you and your family.

We send our condolences to all of the Kosloski family. God bless you all. Steve & Ann

Many memories of laughter from my witty, wise-crackin', smart*** Uncle Dave!

So sorry to see this. May your memories hoold you strong.

What a great man! Such a quiet strength about him and always ready to help anyone out! I have such fun memories of him to hold in my heart. Sending my love!

Rest in Peace, my friend. We spent all 12 of our school years together! I'll never forget the bus rides, our classes, sports, football on your lawn in Denham, and just plain old getting along. My condolences to Yvonne, Tony and all of the Kosloski family. All of you were friends of the Brabecs!

With deepest sympathy to David's Family
