Not sure what to say?

David was one of those classmates that everyone liked and admired. I'll always remember that when I was named to the Valentine Court for Queen our senior year, my friend and now my husband was on the way to Vietnam and could not accompany me to the dance. David very graciously told me he'd gladly escort me (no strings attached) since he knew Tom couldn't get home. I had to decline him since I already had made arrangements with another good friend from our class to help me out. He was...

I attended elementary school on the west side of town while Dave attended on the east side. I first met Dave in 7th grade, I'm certain as an impressionable young girl my first notice of Dave was because he was so handsome. Over the next six years I recognized that Dave had so much more going for him than his good looks.Dave was athletic, very bright and a real leader in our class of '66. Most importantly, Dave had a kind and caring personality--he was liked by everyone. I valued Dave as...

My thoughts are certainly with the entire Kreider family as you mourn David but celebrate his life. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and their friends. May the Lord walk you through these hard times. God bless.

I was so saddened to hear of David's death. Unfortunately, we lose touch with so many of the special people from our childhood. For me, David was one of those. He was my first "boyfriend" (in the 5th grade) and part of a group of young friends with whom we enjoyed simple, yet wonderful, times--the playground at Forge Street, sledding and ice skating after school, playing ball in vacant lots, roller skating parties...even spin the bottle. David was a gentleman even at a young age. i...

David Kreider was a true friend. From helping free a goat from a fence, to feeding a menangerie of animals after my father's death, David would appear when help was needed. He was always cheerful and willing to talk. He will be greatly missed!

I was a classmate of Dave's and graduated with him in 1966. I remember him as a good-looking , athletic young man with a wonderful sense of humor. Perhaps my favorite memory is of going Christmas caroling with our friends and ending at Dave's house for snacks and lots of laughter around a most unique fireplace. I am sorry I lost touch with him, but his family and friends have my sincere sympathy on the loss of such a decent and successful man. I shall appreciate every day more because his...

Elsie, I have only had the pleasure of meeting you several times, but I worked with David often. If I had to use one word to describe him it would be a true gentleman. I was always impressed with his compassion, knowledge, and willingness to learn and do more than expected. All of his friends and clients at State Farm will sorely miss him. I hope you find comfort at this sad time by knowing that David was a gift to us all and the many people he touched and inspired will help you keep his...

My sincere condolences to the Kreider family. Although I haven't been in contact with any of you for many years, my memories of those members of the family I knew are warm and pleasant. Knowing David was a special privilege and a pleasure. During my time as youth director and during my years as a member of Palmyra First EUB Church, I remember David as an exemplary and extremely bright and personable young man. I consider myself as fortunate indeed for having had the pleasure of knowing him.
