Just finding out about this now with eyes full of tears.Dave was a man's man and an inspiration to many of my paratrooper brothers.He never let anyone be less than they could be,always pushing for the best in us.I spent most of my military time with him on and off duty and he was one of the funniest loving men I've ever known. I was one among a company of paratroopers, D Co 4-325 AIR, that served with SGT Kurz. He was a great NCO, sharp witted, and one of my favorite personalities of all time. Airborne!!

He came to my rescue when I was being followed by a road rage stalker who want inflict bodily on me. I was on the cell phone the whole time with Desk Sargent I was being followed The person got arrested on a side street near The Jewish Community in Fort lee, N.J.. I was always was taught that when you are followed, don't drive home. Drive to the nearest Police Station.
