David R. Lacasse, 63, passed away on Sunday, December 8th at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke, the son of the late Norman Lacasse Sr. and Laura (Therrien-Lacasse) Hilton, and the stepson of the late Whit Hilton. David was predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend, Dorothy "Dee Dee" (Guillotte) Lacasse, in 2013. He had lived in Granby for most of his life. David worked as a truck driver for various firms. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, camping, and listening to country music. He is survived by his fiancée, Donna Hebert of Chicopee; his son, James Gallagher, and his wife, Rebecca, of Granby; his daughter, Jennifer Lacasse, of Nevada; his son, Ryan Ribeiro, of Connecticut; and his daughter, Meghan Ribeiro, of West Springfield. He was predeceased by two children, Sarah Lacasse in 2002 and David Ribeiro in 2017. David also leaves behind his sister, Connie Batchelor, of Granby, and her daughters, Lori and Maryann Batchelor, also of Granby; his brothers, Norman Lacasse of Pennsylvania and Roland Lacasse of Chicopee; grandchildren, James Gallagher (Brianna Leduc), Collin Gallagher (Hannah Sudsbury), Logan Gallagher, Brooklyn Copple, and Dillyn Copple; and one great-granddaughter, Kenzie Gallagher. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 16th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Brien Family Funeral Home in South Hadley. The funeral home service will take place on Tuesday, December 17th at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.

Donna I can't imagine the pain and heartbreak you must be going thru. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I didn't know Dave personally but I've heard great things over the years! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family and friends who were lucky to have known and had a great man like him in their lives!!
