I am very saddened to learn of David's passing. He was such a unique, smart and thoughtful person. We spent many afternoons together after school during junior high. I will never forget David and the friendship we had.

David was a dedicated, patient and proud father, and a kind and thoughtful man. He was always so supportive of Aly's soccer teams, with Gretchen in tow as their best fan. We will miss him very much.

We still remember David at UVa as a great fix-it man who solved a lot of problems with our computers. It is very sad to hear of his passing. May God grant comfort to his loved ones.
