Not sure what to say?

Roger, Louise, Aby, Josh and Matthew and myself went snowmobiling in Hurley between Christmas and new years for the first time since 2004 and actually before. Aby, Josh and Matthew are the only nieces and nephews of Dave. They are my children.

Aby and Josh got their snowmobile license the week before. Josh drove Dave's sled with grandma behind periodically. Aby drove my sled when I wasn't. She was my snowmobile "buddie." Matthew is not quite old enough but hung on behind...

Snowmobiling Memories

Roger and I are sitting in our sunroom watching the cardinals as snowflakes are softly coming down. Many fun, peaceful, scary memories are running through my head. Our family and friends went up to northern Michigan and Northern Wisconsin many weekends snowmobiling. We would haul food, lots of snowmobile clothing, and a trailer of four snowmobiles. One of our cabins had a huge fireplace and we would sit and play games after our day of riding. We would take all...

I am Louise, David's mother. Red cardinals bring me messages from David. As I was sitting in our sunroom today, a red cardinal sat on a hump of snow and looked right at me, then went to another hump of snow and looked right in at me. David very much wants his Dad and I to understand he is always watching over us and sending his love . Our dear family are always sending their love to our Dear David and he is always loving and protecting them.

Christmas 2003...

My memories of Dave go all the way back to elementary school when we would always play two on two nerf football at recess and, of course, the bobsled run on the farm. Unfortunately, we had lost touch after graduation and I only found out about his passing a couple of months ago. Dave, you will be missed.

Becky, Greg and Laurie and Abygail, Joshua and Matthew are coming. I am looking outside and there in front of me came a male cardinal and sat on a post very close to me. The most special event happend--a female came to the other side. They KISSED. David came to give us all a kiss and I think especially for me to feel very close to him and he to be home with the family for a visit. Our friend the cardinal flew all around for Easter weekend. Everyone was happy together. I, myself, became...

As another hoilday season passes and a new year begins we are reminded how much our family means to us and how much we miss David. We have many happy memories of David at Christmas time and throughout the year. As friends and family stop by there are always stories and fond rememberences of times spent with him. This past year we held the third annual Memorial Tribute in August with over 125 people attending. Everyone seems to enjoy getting together and honoring David by joining in cooking...

On Saturday April 15 Eric and Nomi Homstad planted a memorial tree for David at the Lambert farm in Verona. The tree is located just outside our sunroom so everyday we can enjoy it and be reminded of David. The tree is a Black Hills Spruce and is about 4 feet tall. Thanks Eric and Nomi.

My husband, David and I have been friends of the Lamberts since 1963. Our friendship has certainly stood the test of time - and trials. When my husband David was working on the plexiglas cardinal for Louise and Roger, I asked him if he was going to write a note to them, and he said
no that he said it with 'birds'.
