Not sure what to say?

Dave´s welfare was our concern growing up. "He Ain´t Heavy, He´s My Brother" by the Hollies is the perfect song to depict how we as a gang felt about Dave. My brother Chico got it right. The five Gutierrez brothers in the video remind me of how we would serenade each other over a campfire in the summer of ´72 in our backyard on Glenwood Rd. Barb we were all so close in our Noble Road area and we loved Dave so much! These stories remind me how much Dave loved life. Everyone out...

Barb, Nobody is telling any stories about Dave and Johnny riding their motorcycles every day in the neighborhood. In the summer, they would go up to Noble School and ask any of the younger kids if they ever had a ride on a motorcycle. The answer was always an emphatic "NO." So, Johnny Provenzale & Dave Lanese would spend a good hour some days treating the kids to a ride on their Honda motorcycles. They made sure each kid wore a "helmet." One day, the Monticello gang...

Barb, Dave had a feeling he could be someone when he met you. So, Luke Combs - "Fast Car" is the perfect song to emulate Dave´s life. I remember when I was driving in our friend´s car with Dave and he looked at me and said, "I finally feel like I belong because of Barb." Up to that point we had gone cruising just to entertain ourselves. However, once you came into Dave´s life that all stopped. The plan was put into motion and Dave became a family man and was on his way to success. Thank...

Barb, Dave didn´t have a "great life" until he met you. He was always getting picked on at Cathedral Latin High School by the seniors when he was a freshman because he was so big and tall. They probably thought he was an upperclassman because Dave was so "cool!". Anyway, Dave told me a senior football player had taken his lunch money for the past 3 months and he was getting sick of it because this kid was looked up to by the administration. He had just been offered a...

Barb, I love these stories that my buddies (Randy Hultberg, Joseph Valacci, Tony Newman, Jeff Basch, and Vince Iosue) have told about your husband Dave Lanese. Dave loved life as everyone has said. He was always on the move looking for the next exciting event. We all hung out with Dave and some of us even attended Cathedral Latin High School with him. Dave was big into football, and I remember one night when Johnny Provenzale was teaching Tom Lanese how to drive to a Friday night...

Dave had many friends and we all had fast cars. We all had hopes of becoming somebody and raising a family someday. Barb Sarli made that possible for Dave. So, I will always think of Dave when I hear "Fast Car" by Luke Combs and thank God for sending Dave... Barb Sarli. God bless your family and I will carry the memory of you for the remainder of my life time. Until then Dave glad our paths crossed in life. I will be thinking of you this Father's Day, June 16th. Joseph Valacci

I will always remember the great times I shared with Dave at Denison Park in the summer of ´72 & `73. He lived life like no other! He was a free spirit and will be missed. Barb was the best thing that ever happened to Dave! Bless you Barb, Vince Iosue
