David J. Lax

Five years ago today, I lost a dear friend, David, whom I had known since I was 18. We first met at a party in Short Hills over Thanksgiving break our freshman year of college, and we instantly connected. Through the years we shared so much of life - music, laughter, adventures, and memories that I treasure. Time has passed, but the loss is still felt, and our friendship will always be a part of me. David, you are remembered today and always.

David was a high school classmate. I recall he was academically conscientious but also took the time to sing with the Millburnaires. David and I reconnected after I returned to Millburn in 2000 because we were both interested in local politics. During the time of our reconnection, a friend of his became terminally ill; David thereafter, invested much of his life in supporting and helping him right up to his death. it is with deep sorrow and regret that i have learned of Davids's passing. We were best friends growing and throughout high school. My condolences to his brother Stephen. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Until we meet and sing again old friend. God bless.
