Not sure what to say?

The Learners lived down at the other end of Brittany Lane from us. Dad - Bob Coatney - Rock Island Glass - and Mr. Learner became great friends, and the Learners were indeed kind and wonderful people.
I knew he had served in the Pacific, but I had no idea he was a Ranger!
He once told us that he made money on the side by beating his officers in chess. :-)
He had a great heart, and everyone in the Quad Cities was sorry to see Mr. and Mrs. Learner leave, but happy they could be...

Mr Learner - may peace with you and your family. Thank you for being a wonderful role model for a local Rock Island "goy". You and Ruth had a very profound impact on how I have raised by sons. God bless.

Dave was one of gods helpers. Everyone he touched were better for it. He was a remarkable man

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Uncle Dave's family and friends. I definitely have fond memories of Uncle Dave. My very first car was a Plymouth Horizon bought from his dealership and his handshake is one that I will never forget! We will miss him dearly.

Margie and I want to extend our sympathy to all of Uncle Dave's family and friends. We will miss his advice and personal "no nonsense" opinions. Uncle Dave always told it the way he saw it.
Our special love to Aunt Rivie, Lisa, Gail, Nathan and their families.
