Not sure what to say?

Always miss you Lebo

I think of David often. The last time I saw him was when we went to a Who concert in Chicago.RIP David.

David is/was a great friend and fraternity brother and will ALWAYS be remembered in our hearts. His smile and laughter brings warmth to me.

David was a great person. We had a very good friendship lots of good times together dinners, fishing, traveling. He is missed my everyone and he will always be in our thoughts.

David and I discovered we shared a large number of common interests when he purchased one of the first scale models we produced under the CCM banner. When he learned I had a background in construction equipment and collected construction toys the foundation for our long friendship was in place. Between construction models and toys, clamshell bucket patent models, Cat equipment, fast cars, family, fasteners, tools and the NBA we were never short on topics but always short on time to discuss...

I met David while doing the annual holiday selling of "Chicago's Maxwell Street" (Arcadia Publishing, Inc., 2002) at Manny's Delicatessan in 2004. We immediately engaged in conversation about Maxwell Street, its history, and his memories - of course followed by his purchase of a book which showed a historic photograph of the site of his current Turek and Sons store at Maxwell and Jefferson Streets (the origin of the famous Maxwell Street Market).

In short, David became a friend of...

I just found out about this huge loss from Diane, David's. I was shocked and saddened and immediately thought of David's genersoity, his love of family friends, and construction toys. He always bragged about all three, but especially so loved by him, and welcomed by me, were his stories of the grandchildren. I will dearly miss David. May you stay strong Diane, and rest in peace, David.

I just learned of David's passing. It broke my heart. He shared all his knowledge and wisdom and made me the person I am today. Last time I saw David was in Vegas at the Stafda show. We shared pictures of our grandchildren. He was so proud of his family. He'll be missed.

I just read through the many messages written here. I feel the same as most. I always looked forward to seeing David at Salt Lake City. His smile was infectious. My husband and I enjoyed many dinners made wonderful by him. I hope someone is left to continue and treasure his genealogical information.
